It is sometimes said that esoteric treatment is primarily meant for healthy individuals as some of the patterns may be counter-indicated depending on your condition.  In practice, I find it is usually quite beneficial to combine esoteric and traditional treatments.

I've been so very fortunate to have worked with Dr. Mikio Sankey who has been so influential in this emerging field of practice. I use many of his techniques and patterns. To balance the chakras, I use tuning forks. I've also had success with a number of patterns I've developed from my work with the Qabalah, the Chakras, the Early and Later Arrangements of the Ba Gua, the Si Xiang and also the Wu Xing.

Hygeia's Bowl

The motion of the Ba Gua from Early to Later Heaven.

Here I find inspiration for several acupuncture patterns. I call this pattern Hygeia's Bowl because 4 yin signs writhe serpent-like while the 4 remaining yang signs form a bowl or graal. Can you see the movement of the Early Heaven trigrams to their Later Heaven positions?
