Dragon Titans of Yin and Yang

By now everyone has heard of Feng Shui, the ancient art of geomancy or earth magic that helps us align with our environment in a manner most befitting our happiness and prosperity. In the west there have been similar practices, alignments of monuments, churches and cities with the lay lines of the earth and movements of the stars. Western philosophers have long recognized the spiritually transcendent qualities of geometry. Astrology has been called the "Mother of Science." Qabalah which involves various numerological and sacred geometric ideals is ideally suited for use with the Hindu Chakra System and illuminates both the well known cycles of the Wu Xing and the mysterious Si Xiang motions of the Ba Gua. For some time the use of stones and crystals has been explored in conjunction with tonal resonance for chakra energy work and their benefit is mirrored in the immense stone monuments ancient peoples laced upon the energy centers of the Earth to align themselves with the Music of the Spheres or the Song of the Phoenix. Acupuncture enable an entirely new scope of precision and a finer degree of control. During treatment the tones not only penetrate your conscious mind, they vibrate the waters of your cells, they activate the chakra stone, which is to say they provide a signal which is honed by the vibrational qualities of each stone. The needle themselves vibrate like a small antenna transmitting the signal by touching the qi. Dr. Mikio Sankey whose work has been so influential in this field of practice has provided two remarkable patterns the Celestial Tuning Fork Yin and Yang Patterns.

These traditions give us insight into an ancient, almost instinctive knowledge of how change manifests in all aspects of the world and so in all aspects of our spiritual reality. Just as the Feng Shui practitioner will make adjustments in our homes and work places, acupuncture has been used for centuries to adjust our Qi with the meridians or lay lines of the body to enhance our well being.

Nu Wa healed all of creation after a great catastrophe using a number of colored stones. Accounts differ on the exact number of stones, some attributing them to the 5 elements of the Wu Xing or to the 7 planets or 12 houses of the Flying Stars. All agree that Nu Wa could only heal the world so much and we can see the world is still slanted to one side as a result that great calamity.

I use healing stones and crystals in combination with Chakra Balancing both in honor of Nu Wa and for their Cymatic properties. I practice the usual color associations with the chakras in addition to using tones produced by medical tuning forks. I find that when vibrated to resonance with a chakra certain stones are useful for drawing off an excess of yin or yang energy and conversely some seem to have an additive effect like the push of a child on a swing that although effortless will substantially contributing to the standing wave over time. Although effective by itself, when combined with acupuncture, the chakras can be easily balanced and encoded for individuals without skill in techniques such as Qi Gong, Yoga or immersive visualization.

It should be noted for the interest of many readers that Acupuncture and Feng Shui are separate practices in their own right. For example, when the 5 Elements or Wu Xing are used one way medically and these same terms are found in Feng Shui or Qi Gong or I Ching and many other places. It is obvious they are not the same in each case and it requires skill in each discipline to wisely know the meaning and cunning of the Wu Xing in the language of each art. The same can be said of the Ba Gua, the 8 Trigrams of the I Ching and Feng Shui, or even the 22 paths and 10 spheres of the Tree of Life. One can see in all art and science the beauty of language and math to symbolically represent infinitely many things. We are making new discoveries all the time.
